Your first consultation and follow up appointments are generally 2 hours. I have found this consultation length gives you the maximum change, for the time that you are investing. I understand that you lead a busy life and that you want to achieve your personal transformation in the shortest possible time.
Prior to your first consultation, you will be asked to complete some pre-work, which will highlight your difficulties and enable me to understand the landscape of your life. This pre-work will save you time and money, by allowing me to efficiently identify known issues, as well as giving clues about those that are deeply seated.
This pre-work covers:
• Identifying distressing memories and when they occurred.
• Happy memories.
• Your current challenges.
• Your objectives in coming to see me.
• Where you are currently in your life and where you would like to move to.
We all have patterns in our life. For example, some people attract the same/wrong partners in relationships, time and time again. Unless you understand this pattern and resolve core underlying issues, this pattern will continue.
If you have a problem with disclosure, can’t recall or don’t want to recall some of these things, that is okay too.
Faster EFT does not require deep, painful and prolonged revelation of your issues in the way that conventional psychology or psychiatry demands.
My particular skill is that after many years of practice, I am frequently able to define what those core issues are, even when you may not know what they are yourself. These issues become the unconscious drivers that cause interruptions to energy flow and damage our lives and the lives of those around us. It is not uncommon to be unaware of the unconscious drivers, if you knew what they were, you would not have problems.
The second part of a first consultation is when we begin to work on, what I call, the “emotional blanket”.
We don’t always find this immediately, but most times we do and when the emotional blanket is removed, you will invariably feel better, almost immediately.
What I mean by this is that distressing memories act as an emotional blanket that can prevent you from feeling the full range of emotions, so your response is limited to the fear, anxiety, anger, or other negative emotions, that dominate your life.
In my experience the first consultation invariably relieves the distress that my clients are looking to resolve when making their appointment with me. However, the distress is only a symptom of something deeper, rather than the cause. The aim of Faster EFT is to resolve the underlying causes of our problems, so they do not reoccur. This could be seen as insurance for a more trouble free future if you like.
For example, we see two people in a relationship who love one another, but keep fighting because they press each other’s buttons. Our approach is to remove the buttons, rather than trying to modify the behaviours that are a result of the button being pressed.
Follow up consultations also outline, anticipate and help the client achieve what they want now the issue that held them back is resolved i.e. A stable loving relationship, life without anxiety, pain or sleeplessness etc.
Resolution is quicker and easier to achieve following the first consultation. It appears that the unconscious mind, once it realises that we have the wherewithal to resolve issues, starts offering them up of its own accord to be healed, rather than keeping them hidden from our conscious mind.
Sometimes a memory, that may have been ruling our life like the virus in a computer, occurs out of the blue. These are then easily dealt with using the Faster EFT techniques.
The duration of a consultation is usually two hours and the cost is $330. Unlike traditional counselling and psychotherapy, it is not necessary to attend weekly consultations for extended periods of time. Faster EFT is both time and cost efficient.
Even though counsellors are not able to provide services that are covered by health funds in Australia, the Faster EFT techniques are so efficient that they you will save money, time and ongoing distress by employing this approach to emotional difficulty.
That is not a problem. I have worked successfully with clients who live overseas, interstate and in regional areas via Skype, Face Time and on the telephone. If you are in this situation, I am happy to discuss how this can work for you.
