Prior to your first appointment with me it is important that you to do some pre-work. This enables you to get the most from the session and will make your progress as speedy as possible whilst avoiding any unnecessary emotional pain. This will also save you both time and money by quickly resolving your difficulties.
It is suggested that you take the time to sit down quietly, complete the templates using the document templates attached to the links below, and then email back to me no less than 48 hours before hand.
1. The first step is to write what you would like to accomplish, the main reason for making the appointment and list three or four great memories that make you feel good.
Use the List “A” links below to download the template in either Word or PDF format, here is an example of how you might complete this:
2. The second step is to list your major life experiences, distressing memories and difficulties (i.e. list specific memories that bother you).
Include in this list the things/memories that you don’t want to talk about and any physical issues that you may be experiencing.
I will want to see your list and discuss it with you however you only need write as much as you feel comfortable with, a single word or sentence as a reminder to you is sufficient.
It will not be necessary to discuss anything on your list in any detail so it is safe to put everything down.
Important: When completing this list do not go into the distressing memories, simply list them, if this is too difficult then skip this step and we will address it at your first appointment. It is not necessary to be re-expereince distress in order to bring about your healing!
Use the List “B” links below to download the template in either Word or PDF format, here is an example of how you might complete this:
3. The third step is to write where you would like to move “from” and “to” emotionally.
